Suzanne Tagert Maly was born on May 20, 1939 to Egbert and Margaret Pierson. She was the third of four girls and grew up in Oreland, Pennsylvania. Sue married Bruce Vecchiolla in 1959 and had their first son, David in 1960. They moved to sunny Southern California where Rick was born in 1963 and Michael in 1968. Soon after, Sue and Bruce parted ways.
In 1969, Sue began working for the Bellflower Unified School District where she remained for nearly 35 years. She worked in the Head Start and Child Development programs. She loved teaching students their “ABCs” and “123s.”
In 1976, Sue married Bob. Later that same year, Mark was born. She resided in Bellflower and enjoyed watching sports and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her sons: David, Rich, Michael, Mark, grandchildren; Noelle, Jennifer, David, three sisters; Connie, Marty, Carol and numerous nieces and nephews.
