James MacFarlane

Jim MacFarlane came to the United States from Scotland to Pennsylvania with his parents in 1954 at the age of nine. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent most of his duty time in England but also served in North Africa. He finished his Air Force career in Southern California and never left the area except for a brief job transfer to Denver, Colorado.
He is survived by a son, Matthew, 17 of Valley Glen, California and a sister, Joyce McIntosh of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cameron McIntosh, Louise MacFarlane, Helen MacFarlane and numerous relatives in Scotland, England and New Zealand. His early death has been a shock to many. Jim suffered a stroke on September 20th and was subsequently diagnosed with cancer. He passed away from these and other complications 18 days later.
