James Clovis Brown
Born February 5, 1942, Pomona, California
Entered into Rest April 19, 2007, Long Beach, California

James Clovis Brown was born on February 5, 1942 in Pomona, California and other than his stint in the Army, he lived there all of his life. He passed away on April 19, 2007 in Long Beach, California. He had many medical difficulties but kept a good nature in spite of them. He finally succumbed to a heart attack in his sleep at home.
Jim loved to travel, especially along the west coast and had traveled up and down the coast many times. Even more, he loved being a grandpa. He would proudly talk about his grand kids to anyone who would listen, and them living in Washington prompted most of his trips to the Pacific Northwest.
Jim is survived by his wife Sharon Brown; daughter Shawn Marie Braaten and son-in-law Jason Braaten; grandchildren Brianna Volk, Jeffrey Volk, Trystan Braaten and Willow Braaten; stepson Shane Federmeyer; brother Wayne Brown, sisters Ida Hostetler and Francis Coughlin and many nieces and nephews. Per his request there will be no services and the family requests no flowers. Our request is that any donations be sent to St. Jude’s.
After 28 years of marriage I will miss him very much and hope that he realized that he was “the wind beneath my wings.”
