Helene Marie Longley
Born June 23, 1929, Queens, New York
Passed Away August 10, 2003, Huntington Beach, California

Our mother, grandmother and good friend Helene was a vivacious and beautiful woman who spread her love and passion to everyone she touched. Her sense of humor is how she guided her life and that humor was appealing to everyone.
On December 3, 1946, Helene married the love of her life William F. Longley. They raised their children Gail, Michael and Arthur in Alhambra, California. As wife of William—an Alhambra city official from 1958 - 1972—she was involved in all civic activities for the city. In 1964 she was chosen to host the Mayor and his entourage of Alhambra’s sister city Grenada, Spain in 1972.
Helene and Bill moved to Huntington Beach, California to own and operate Quality Building Supply. Through the years Helene was always there for her five grandchildren and was a very important part of all their lives. She continued to spread her love and happiness until her death on August 10, 2003.
She is survived by her three children, Gail, Michael, Arthur, her sister Mary, her brother Andrew, her niece and friend Pamela and her five grandchildren Kris, Garrett, Keri, Megan and Preston.
We want to thank Mckenzie Cremation & Burial for their great services.
