Passed Away November 17, 2003, Long Beach, California

Donald Andrew Choke passed away on November 17, 2003 at the VA nursing home in Long Beach, California after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his two sons, Brian and Jason and four grandchildren.
Born in Chicago with immigrant parents from Hungary, Donald was a true American. He served a tour in the U.S. Navy as a submarine sailor.
After the Navy, he was a construction worker and power plant steam insulator for many years. Travel was in his blood, as he traveled all over the States.
He enjoyed having his sons visit during the summers, and enjoyed doing wonderful things like camping, sightseeing and visiting museums. His lively stories and humor will be greatly missed.
The merciful Lord took him to share these stories with his mother, father and sisters. A memorial service and interment with full military honors was held on November 25, 2003 at Riverside National Cemetery.
