Charlotte Davis-Carter, 55, of Long Beach, California departed on Friday, January 25, 2008 after a short illness. She was born on October 31, 1952 in Montrose, Arkansas to her parents, Hosea and Johnnie Richardson.
Charlotte moved to Rockford, Illinois at age 17. She raised a family and was a good-hearted, cheerful woman. She moved to Long Beach, California in July 1996.
She worked at a school with special adult children continuing to be a giving person until her passing.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Wilbur Carter, son Charles Davis, daughters Sandra and Jamice Davis, brother Charles Richardson, sisters Joan Ashley, Dorothy Ashley, Patricia Macklir, Shelia Gill, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held February 5, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3114 South Street, Long Beach, California. The viewing will be at McKenzie Mortuary.
