Betty Budzak
Born July 5, 1911, Cernauti, Romania
Entered into Rest January 6, 2004, Glendale, California

Betty Budzak was born Elizabeth Fettinger in 1911 in Cernauti, Romania. She emigrated to Canada with her parents as a young child. Later, she met and married Steve Budzak in Winnipeg. Subsequently moving to New York City, she had two sons, Stephen and Edward. Eventually she moved to Los Angeles near the end of World War II where she had her third child, Betty Lynn.
She made Eagle Rock her home and would often take long walks to Pasadena...a short 16 mile jaunt! Showing her Romanian roots, Betty’s legendary stuffed cabbage soon became well-known amongst her friends.
Later, she worked as a teacher’s assistant and as an English tutor for immigrant children. However, throughout her life, her true passion remained the needs of her children. She was totally focused on enhancing the quality of their lives, and no personal sacrifice was too great to attain that goal.
We love you, Mom; Sonny, Edwards, Betty Lynn, Mike, Jennifer, Christopher, Christopher, Jr. and Julia.
